City of Rab
The town of Rab is the largest and oldest place on the island. The town of Rab is a medieval city, as evidenced by numerous medieval castles, churches and walls that surround the city. The city is characterized by four Romanesque bell towers, which are located in the old town. These are the bell towers of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Church of St. Justine, the Church of St. John the Evangelist and St. Andrew the Apostle. The protector of the city, but also of the island of Rab is St. Christopher, patron saint of sailors, passengers and islanders. Rab has a rich culture – a historical town with numerous coats of arms of noble Rab families who lived in these areas. In the town at every step you can see a number of historical and cultural building with Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance elements, but also natural beauty. Therefore, it is not surprising that the city of Rab was the winner of the best tourist place along the coast several times.
