All Saints’ Church
All Saints’ Church
At the site of the church from the 13th century, in the 18th century a single-nave Baroque building was made. Its interior is decorated with an altar with a Baroque composition of Our Lady of Sorrows. Above the altar there is a stone ciborium. The church contains neo-Baroque altars of St. Anne and St. Joseph with the saints’ pales and the polyptich of Blaž Jurjev of Trogir and a Byzantine Cross from the 15th century. The painted ceiling is the work of the painter Tripo Kokolj. The brotherhood house, the seat of Korčula’s All Saints Brotherhood was founded in 1301 and connected with the Church by bridges that cover the street. It houses the hall with wax candles, torcis, tonigas, brotherhood clothes, documents, songbooks, crosses and the liturgical inventory. A silver cross from Dubrovnik’s goldsmith Ivan Progonović from the 15th century and nine Byzantine icons from the 14th to the 17th century made on wood tempera on a gold background are of great value.
