Cemetery Žuto naselje and Mauzolej Pejačević
Cemetery Žuto naselje, originally named “Swabian cemetery”, was exclusively Catholic till the Second World War. As the name suggests, it was designated for the Germans who died in the area of Retfala. At the cemetery there is the mausoleum of the famous and noble Pejačević family from the late 19th century, the monument to the famous painter Ivan Heil, and the monument to the Wang family. In addition, the uniqueness of the cemetery Žuto naselje is that it has its own bell tower, unlike other Osijek cemeteries. Every year, on November 2nd, in memory of the dead, there is a free tour of the cemetery under the guidance of Vlado Pest, organized by the Tourist Board of Osijek.
