Church of the Holy Trinity
The chapel of the Holy Trinity was built in the 15th century, which makes it the oldest church in Valpovo. It was reconstructed in 1723 in the Baroque style. Since it has recently been restored, its remains are visible in the sanctuary and on the facade. By the end of World War II, the chapel could boast a large altarpiece of the Throne of Grace – the Holy Trinity from 1730, which is now kept at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Osijek. In the church you can a historical organ that was built in 1876 by Josef Angster on demand of nobleman Baron Gustav Hilleprand of Prandau, whose brother Karlo operated within the Croatian Music Institute in Zagreb. The organ has 18 registers, a bell, a mechanism for the tremolo effect and several compounds.
