Church of St. Roch
Where there once was the entrance to Draguć now lies the church of St. Roch, which used to protect the city from the plague. Upon entering the church you can see the walls covered in beautiful frescoes dating back to the 16th century, more precisely to 1529 and 1537. Anton of Padua is credited with painting the inside of the church. He comes from a village today known as Kašćerga, which is depicted on the church door. Unlike most churches, the church of St. Roch retained its original appearance – the murals were not subsequently covered with paint so today traces of moisture where the white lead paint became black are still visible.
