The Ćipiko Palace is a set of buildings dating from the 13th to the 15th century. It was built by many generations of the Ćipiko family. The palace is characterized by different Renaissance, Romanesque, Gothic and late Renaissance features. It was built by the famous Trogir masters Andrija Aleši, Nikola Firentinac and Ivan Duknović. In the 15th century, the courtyard was given a Renaissance character. The portal on the first floor, decorated with candelabras, is the work of N. Firentinac. The portal facing the square, opposite the Cathedral was built by I. Duknović, and the Gothic triforium and the courtyard with colonnades and galleries are the works of A. Aleši. The southern gate is adorned with lions, which is the work of Nikola N. Firentinac. On the gate is an inscription saying NOSCE TE IPSUM (know thyself).
