The museum is located above the entrance to the Italian’s buza i.e. underground aqueduct from ancient times. The museum began operating in a new building in 2008. With the help of guides, visitors can see the water supply, the hydro-archeological collection with dishes and amphorae which were found on a merchant ship. You can also observe a wooden anchor, which is found in Caska, a town nearby. Art exhibitions of many authors are exhibited on the first floor of the museum, while ethnographic specimens from the early 20th century can be seen on the second floor. The collection is constantly expanding, discovering many other excavations from archaeological sites. The role of the museum is to bring the local history closer to local residents, but tourists as well.
