City Walls and Museum
The medieval tower, which was built at the turn of the 13th to the 14th century, is located in the historic center of Umag. It is considered that the tower is the oldest landmark in Umag, which makes it a perfect home to the City Museum. The tower is divided into three floors; on the ground floor is a collection of stone monuments, on the first and second floor are held temporary exhibitions and events, while on the third floor you can see the permanent exhibition of the museum, which was created on the basis of the exhibition Reconnaissance Umag archipelago which was set in 1996. If you come to Umag, we recommend a visit to the museum and bastion, which will bring you closer to Umag’s culture and history.
