The Danube River is an important international waterway and the longest river in Europe, after the Volga River. It runs from the west to the east, passing near Vukovar and Ilok and Belgrade in Serbia. The river forms the boundary between Romania and Serbia, and then between Bulgaria and Romania. It ends in Romania, where it flows into the Black Sea. Since the Danube enabled the development of trade in the cities along it, Vukovar became an important port and harbour of European roads. With economic development, the port offers touristic development because it is the terminal of many cruise ships owned by tourists around the world. In addition, the Danube River attracts visitors strolling the promenade, and offers the rich cuisine of local cafes and restaurants.
