Iktus Rowing Club
Iktus Rowing Club
The Iktus Rowing Club continues the tradition of rowing clubs and societies dating to 1882. This rowing club was founded on the grounds of the rowing society Die Drau and rowing clubs Neptun, Drava, Borac and Osijek, which changed its name to Iktus in the early seventies of the 20th century. The rowers of Osijek were highly successful – from winning the Croatian Championship to reaching the second place at the Olympic Games in London. Also, a number of new rowers enroll annually, who contribute, above all, to good fun and a healthy lifestyle, as well as to the club’s success in various competitions. Due to the growing amount of equipment, it is necessary to renew and expand the building of the rowing club allowing trainings throughout the year.
