The village Mlini, formerly known as Molino, is located along the Adriatic highway, between the villages Srebreno and Plat in the Župa Bay. In the past it was the centre of the milling industry where the boats from Ukraine brought grain for grinding. Due to numerous karst springs, many mills, after which the village was named, were built here. Today, only one mill remained intact. During dry spells and shortages of water, until the water supply system was built, Dubrovnik was supplied with water from Mlini. In the 14th century two ships supplied the people of Dubrovnik with drinking water. By the end of the 19th century, the grindstones were driven by the electricity generated in the mill central Marija.
