The Mushroom Museum
It has been opened in 2009 on the city’s central square of Ban Josip Jelačić, along with the Educational Centre. Only a few European capitals boast a mushroom museum, which makes this one a unique tourist attraction. The museum currently features around 360 sorts of mushrooms that can be seen in the area of 180 square meters. In this museum the visitors will have the opportunity to see lyophilized – live mushrooms in their original shape and natural environment. The exhibited mushrooms are from all seasons. You can see them in actual size, at the stage of germination and maturity, from above and below.
