Orlando Column (Dubrovnik)
The Orlando Column was built in 1418 by Bonino, a Milanese sculptor, who was helped by the local sculptors. By the column, you can see a medieval knight sculpted in the Gothic style.
Today there is a Croatian flag on the mast of Orlando’s column, where once flew a flag of the Republic of Ragusa, thus being a symbol of statehood.
