Pejačević (Art Nouveau) Well
Situated on the promenade, the Pejačević (Art Nouveau) well has been a part of Osijek since the 19th century. It was a gift from Pavle Pejačević which was first located in the park of the Sports Hall Municipal Garden. The City of Osijek decided to renew it, so architect Milko Puncer, company Urbos and company Zuber were hired for that purpose. The roof and the area surrounding the fountain were renovated, after which it was transferred to a new location, the Drava promenade. At the fountain opening the citizens were addressed by the contractors together with the mayor Krešimir Bubalo, followed by a concert of the drum band Ritmos, jazz performances, and vocal and instrumental ensemble Lavine who brought their fellow citizens back to the fifties, sixties and seventies.
