Džamonja Sculpture Park
The Sculpture Park is one of the world’s famous cultural and tourist attractions. On the hills close to the sea there is an art studio, workshops and a park with 26 modern sculptures. The statues of Dušan Džamonja are distinguished by their unusual structure. They are made out of chains and nails, universal forms. Their exotic and original appearance drew the attention of art critics at the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary art – Venice Biennale. The park has the status of cultural heritage, and in 2006 it was included in the National Register of Cultural Property. The works of Džamonja are also located in the Tate Gallery in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Modern Art of Paris, Antwerp, Sao Paulo and other cities.
