The summer mansion of Petar Sorkočević is a villa situated in Lapad, a part of Dubrovnik. It was built for Petar Sorkočević in 1521, and it is one of the best preserved summer mansions that belonged to the Sorkočević family. It is a single storey villa, which consists of a central room surrounded by four more rooms. The building is fenced by a wall and surrounded by a garden. There is a fishpond in the garden, and even a little dock for boats. The family’s coat of arms can be found in several places in the summer mansion. It was mainly used for entertainment; dances, literary evenings and theatrical plays.
