St. Krševan’s Church
St. Krševan’s Church is the oldest preserved religious facility, and dates back to the 12th century. It was built in the Romanesque style. The church was first mentioned in 1200, in the grant of Viceroy Andrija. It is a single-nave building with a semicircular apse, and in the 18th century Baroque elements were added to the church. Until World War II it served for worship, and was extremely damaged during the war. After its restoration, it became a gallery area for the Šibenik Museum and today is the Gallery of St. Krševan. Its studio is located in a Baroque building whose facade has outstanding architectural mouldings built of ashlar blocks. The church’s exterior is dominated by the Baroque stone balcony and properly strung windows.
