St. Mary Bell Tower
St. Mary Cathedral Bell Tower
The bell tower was built in the period of Romanticism, during the 13th century. The bell tower is 26 meters high, a six-sided pyramid has been replaced with a four-sided dome after the destruction. The bell tower is the perfect place with a beautiful view of the old town. The steep and narrow stairs lead you to the top of the tower where the view extends to the surrounding houses, the church and the beautiful sea. The bell tower of the cathedral is one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture along the coast.
