- The County Palace
The County Palace
The Varaždin County Palace, decorated with rococo style features and designed by the renowned architect Jacob Erber, was built in 1768. It lost its original stylistic features after the fire and several adaptations. A renovation that began in 2001 helped to restore it to its original form, retain its original status and again become the seat of the Varaždin County. In its gable, there is a coat of arms which was approved by the Empress Maria Theresa as the emblem of the Varaždin County.
