The Pazin College
The Pazin College
Pazin College was built in 1913 and 1914, and was aimed to accommodate the students of the Croatian grammar school. In 1945, the Church became the owner of the property and turned it into the Catholic Seminary with the Croatian classical grammar school. After the seminary ceased to operate, the idea was developed to convert this magnificent institution into a school because this was most related to the original purpose of the institution. In 1992, Antun Hek was given the task of establishing the school, and in 1993 the school was visited by Franjo Tuđman and the order for the renovation of the building was signed. The first school year began on September 15, 1993 and the following year the school received an increasing number of interested students, professors and classes. They also arranged the area for teaching purposes and added a sports hall and student’s home as well.
