As for many other great men and women who enriched Croatian history, a statue of Tin Ujević was built in 1991. Tin Ujević is one of the many Croatian poets who still lives in his poems and who never ceases to amaze us. His boyhood was quite turbulent because of constant moving to different cities. After primary and secondary school, he decided to come to Zagreb and enrol in the Croatian language and literature. In the vicinity of the “Europa” cinema you can see his 3.5 meter high statue made by the sculptor Miro Vuco.
