Tito’s Park and Monument
At the Pula promenade lies the beautiful Tito’s Park whose creation began in 1940s, and came to an end in 1953. In the front part, thanks to Vanja Radauš, a monument to fallen soldiers was erected in 1957. This park is a favorite gathering place for the young and elderly. The young people gather here on the grass and benches on Thursdays and Saturdays before going out at night, and the elder come there during the day to rest on benches and watch the beautiful nature. The floral park contains the Aleppo pine, Meadowsweet, Oleander, Tamarisk and the beautiful Japanese cherry. Japanese cherry tree and oleander, with their colorful flowers, attract the most attention, and oleander represents the type of plant by which you can recognize the Mediterranean region.
