The town hall in Šibenik is situated on the medieval central town square, the Square of the Republic of Croatia. This is a Renaissance building erected between 1533 and 1546. It was the most prestigious civil building in Šibenik, and today it is one of the cultural landmarks. The building consists of two floors. The ground floor consists of the portico and columns supporting nine semi-circular arches above which there was a wreath with lion heads. The first floor is separated by columns and adorned with decorated balconies and balustrades. Next to it is the bell tower with a distaff, before which there were stairs. The town hall was completely destroyed in 1943 and was restored to its original form by Harold Bilinić. Today, on the first floor there is a hall where people get married and where sometimes various events are held. The ground floor was turned into a restaurant.
