The highest waterfall in Croatia is the Veliki slap (78 meters), also known as Slap Plitvice, which is located in the Plitvice Lakes National Park. It was formed with a collapse and gets its water from the stream Plitvice. It is considered to be the most beautiful Plitvice waterfall. At the Plitvice Lakes you can visit a viewpoint with a beautiful view of the lakes, especially the Veliki slap. The appearance of the waterfall depends of the season; the summer volume of water is decreased until it rains.
