On Radić Brothers Square there is a less known octagonal Venetian tower. It is a remnant of a larger defence system, which the Venetians completed in 1441 for the protection from Turkish raids, but also from the fear of local rebellion. The system was later demolished, and the only one of the five towers which was preserved is the Venetian tower on Fruit Square. The tower was abandoned for centuries, so a lot of damage was done to it. In its vicinity is the 17th century Milesi palace, which is a true example of Baroque architecture.
