Zadar National Museum
The beginning of museum activity in Zadar was recorded in 1832 when Il Museo Nazionale was opened as a regional museum of former Dalmatia. Driven by that, in 1962 the Fold Museum was opened, by merging four independent institutions that today form museum departments: Ethnological Department, Natural Sciences Department, Museum of the City of Zadar and Art Gallery. The museum organizes temporary and permanent exhibitions, as well as various workshops, publications and souvenir sales. Museum exhibitions and departments are located on several historical sites in the city.
