Zlarin island
Zlarin island
Zlarin is a small Dalmatian island near the mainland city of Šibenik. Zlarin has the longest island seafront in Croatia, which is 131 meters long. If you climb the hill Klepac, you will have an unforgettable view. From the top of the hill you can see the mountain of Velebit and far in the distance, the volcanic island of Jabuka. Zlarin is called the Green Island for a reason – there are dense forests and underbrush. It is interesting that Zlarin is one of the sunniest Adriatic islands – it has about 2700 sunny hours annually. On the island, the traditional skill of processing corals is still nurtured today. Cars are not allowed on the island, which surely gives it a special charm. The crystal clear sea, greenery, peace and quiet are some of the key reasons for visiting Zlarin.
