Banjol is one of the seven villages that adorn the island of Rab. This is a beautiful part of the island of Rab, from which it is only 1 km away and has about 2000 inhabitants. The place is famous for three sand and pebble beaches of rich content known as Padova. Besides beautiful beaches, Banjol is known for its coastal promenade which connects it to the old town of Rab, where visitors can enjoy the diverse cuisine and the sale of local products. It is best to visit Banjol on August 5, on the feast of St . Lucy representing the patron of the place, when Šištovica is celebrated.
