Bang Neow Shrine
Bang Neow Shrine (Phuket-Thailand)
The Bang Neow shrine is one of the most beautiful worshipping places in Phuket. Like many other Chinese shrines on the island, this was also built by the Chinese immigrants. When the shrine was first founded, in 1904, it was part of another larger shrine. As the years went by, the shrine was relocated several times, always because of fire. The shrine houses ten smaller shrines. Due to that, it is unusually long with many doors. The main shrine, where the main deity resides, is the middle one. Like other Chinese shrines in Phuket, this one also boosts with magnificent Taoist architecture.
