Bang Po Natural Reserve (Bangkok-Thailand)
Bang Po is a natural reserve 38 km south of Bangkok city center. It is owned by the Thai military and perhaps You will find it an unusual place for bird watching, but every day many visitors come to picnic, exercise, feed seagulls or eat at a restaurant surrounded by glass, from which You can observe nature. During the weekend, the reserve is crowded so if You prefer peace and quiet, You rather pay a visit during the working day. During the migration of birds, You can see a large number of different species. Furthermore, between October and April You will notice an unusual flock of two to three thousand brown and black seagulls. We suggest that You also visit Ancient City GPS: 13.539442, 100.623080 (13°32’22.0″N, 100°37’23.1″E), a popular destination for tourists with more than 100 replicas of famous Thai monuments and architectural achievements.

Bang Po Natural Reserve is located around 32 km both from the center of the city and from the SkyTrain’s Siam station (Siam Paragon Shopping Center). The most popular tourist street, Khao San Road is around 37km away. The closest SkyTrain station is ”Samrong”, around 18 km away.
