Memorial Centre of bombing Attack on Zagreb
Memorial centre of the shelling attack on Zagreb was built on May 2 2013 in the city centre. It was opened to public on the 18th anniversary of the shelling attack in memory of all civilians who were killed and wounded in the attack on the city centre by Serb armed forces, during the Croatian War of Independence. The permanent display features objects depicting the attack of the Yugoslav People’s Army on Zagreb as the political, economic, strategic and social centre during the Croatian war in 1991 and 1995. The war events are evidenced by a series of reporter photos showing various documents, articles and video animations. Also, here you can see artefacts such as ballet shoes from the Croatian National Theatre, debris of the missile system and the like.
