It is situated in the city center and was built to protect the north-east part of the city walls. The oldest parts of the castle are well preserved. It was first built in the Gothic style, but later refurbishments resulted in a mixture of styles. The most famous room of the castle is the festival hall, where You can see photographs of the Quadri family and the artist Laurenz Laurig. The hall is also adorned by the Johann Gebler picture which depicts the battle against Ottoman and Christian soldiers.
