Cemetery Dubovac (Karlovac)
Cemetery Dubovac is located next to the fortress Dubovac. It is located on a hill above the river Kupa. At the cemetery are monuments of decedents of different religions, such as Catholics, Muslims, Orthodox Christians and Jews. In addition there are buried soldiers who died during the war in this area. The cemetery consists of 4 sections depending on the religion of the decedent. The largest part is the Catholic part which is separated from the other parts by a road. The cemetery was founded at the beginning of the 19th century, and was used for the burial of the deceased who died of the plague. Over time, the cemetery expanded, and got its final look at the beginning of the 20th century, when the famous architect Herman Bolle designed the War Memorial.
