Navy Ship Chakri Naruebet (Pattaya-Thailand)
If You like ships and history, You will surely enjoy in this one. Docked at the naval base in Sattahip, more than 180 meters long and about 30 meters wide, this military ship is truly impressive and is a pride of the Royal Thai Navy. It was built in Spain and sent to Thailand in 1997 and has been there ever since, but with different tasks and purposes. Originally, it used to be an aircraft carrier but due to financial crisis, it has spent more time docked than patrolling the Thai waters. Nevertheless, it was deployed on several operations after the natural disasters like 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. Today, it departs each month for one-day training and is used by the Royal Family of Thailand for transportation. Only Thai people are allowed to enter this ship while foreigners can only observe it from the outside!
