Church of Our Lady
Church of Our Lady of the Angels
The Church of Our Lady of the Angels, built in 1746, is located in the Liberty Square in Poreč. The Church was consecrated in 1770 by Gaspar Negri, who later built a Dominican monastery there, because they have, by 1752, been a part of the church. The beautiful, one-nave church is a baroque style building with a baroque bell tower, added later and 18 meters high. It consists of the sacristy, the sanctuary, the dome and the apse. The interior of the church includes several altars, while the main altar contains the tabernacle, and also various stone statues. There is also a shrine of the Virgin Mary with Child and a saint, the altar depicting St. Anthony of Padua and Joseph, as well as the altar of St. Aloysius and the others.
