Church of St. Anthony of Padua
In the historic centre of Omišalj, “Dubac”, at the foot of the water tower, on the northern edge of the city, you can find the typical medieval, late Romanesque-Gothic church of St. Anthony of Padua with a shady porch (so-called “lopica”) which was added in the Baroque. This church is historically and culturally significant because it, along with the fraternity of St. Anthony of Padua, was mentioned in 1685. The fraternity has for centuries preserving the medieval legacy for the upcoming generations of priests.
