Church of St. Joseph
Near the main square in Mali Lošinj, you will find the church of St. Joseph. The church can be approached by three sets of stairs, and the front of the church is decorated by a dented rosette and small dented windows with bars and white frames. St. Joseph was Mary’s fiancé and father of Jesus and together they made the holy family. The Croatian Parliament made the decision of making St. Joseph the protector of the Croatian people in 1687. The holiday of St. Joseph is celebrated on the 19th March, and the memorial day of St. Joseph the worker is celebrated on the 1st of May.
