Church of St. Justine
Church and Monastery of St. Justine
In the 16th century a Benedictine monastery and church were built. In the 19th century the monastery was closed and now has the exclusive role of the museum. The museum has a large number of works of art of sacred character. There is a huge number of church furniture, Renaissance terracotta, Gospels, altarpieces. The church of St. Justine was built in 1570-ies in the place where once the basilica of St. Tom was, and has elements of the Renaissance. Next to the church is a bell tower that was built in the 17th century. It is also the youngest bell tower of the remaining three, which are located on the island of Rab.
