The Church of St. Thomas
In the Bregovita Street, at the foot of the Church of St. Euphemia, among the old houses, there is the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle from 1388. This part of the city of Rovinj is often called St. Thomas. In the files it is recorded that the Brotherhood of St. Thomas met in this church. At the time it was very small, and was extended only in 1723-1724, when the street passage was hooded. The blessing of the restored church took place in February 1725. The church was restored once more in 1770, when the Brotherhood of St. Thomas and the Brotherhood of St. Francis of Assisi joined together. The Holy Mass is held on February 17, at the same time when the feast of St. Thomas and St. Anton the Abbot is held. It is because the statue of St. Anton from the former Church of St. Anton, which was located near the church of St. Francis, is preserved there.
