The church of St. Valentine the martyr

Legend has it that St. Valentine loved fragrant flowers, and his favourite ones were roses. He would often give roses to spouses as a sign of appreciation and a gift for a happy union in marriage. The feast of St. Valentine is celebrated on February 14th, known by all as Valentine’s Day. On that day, the Mass is held in Batina and a great celebration takes place.
