The Church of St. Jelena
On the main square of Omišalj you can find the church of St. Jelena, which was built in the Gothic style. Because of its fragility it was renovated several times. Nikola Bozanić had it restored in the 15th century, and the locals helped its renovation at the beginning of the 20th century. Next to the church, on the east side of the square is the Chapel of St. Helena, which dates from the 20th century. In the chapel you can find the famous text-plate about the construction of the aqueduct in the Roman city Fulfinium, which is Roman for Omišalj.
