City Walls (Budva-Montenegro)
The city walls are a special attraction located in the old part of the city of Budva and largely come from the Middle Ages, from the period of the reign of the Venetian Republic. In the devastating earthquake in 1667, the walls, like most of the city, were destroyed and new ones were built on the foundations of the old walls. When the earthquake in 1979 hit Budva once again, the walls were destroyed. After this earthquake the whole city was restored together with the walls. The total distance around the walls is about 1km, while the city walls surrounding the Old Town gives You a stunning view of the old part of Budva itself.
