The most eastern city of the Republic of Croatia, which is located on the slopes of Fruška Gora near the river Danube, has a very interesting history. Ilok, formerly known as Cuccium, is a city well-known for its quality wines, which was drunk at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Ilok attracts more and more visitors from around the world each year with its beautiful scenery adorned with numerous vineyards. The most important sights of this small town are the church of St. Ivan Kapistrano, Odescalchi Castle, the museum of the city of Ilok and, of course, the wine cellars where you can taste great wines and try local specialties.
