Karlovac
The city of Karlovac is situated at the crossroads of a number of transport and trade routes. The city lies on four rivers: Kupa, Korana, Mrežnica and Dobra. Karlovac stands out for its rich cultural history, parks and beautiful nature. Old town Dubovac dates from the 13th century, and it houses a permanent exhibition. Many cultural and entertainment events, such as the Fair estate and Beer Festival, are often held in the Old Town. The City Museum, the Karlovac ‘Star’, the Franciscan monastery, the church of the Holy Trinity, City Theatre and many galleries are certainly worth visiting.
