Biograd na Moru guide

This is a beautiful town located on a small peninsula whose appearance and tempestuous history adorns the northern Dalmatia. During the 11th century the city was the capital of the medieval Croatian Kingdom, while the city’s name was first mentioned in the 10th century. It was here that Coloman of Hungary was crowned in 1102. The city of Biograd has been a tourist resort since the First World war. The first tourists started arriving in the 1920s from Czechoslovakia, and its first hotel was built in 1935. What this magical city has to offer are its history and landmarks, beautiful bays and beaches, and a variety of cultural and sporting events.
