Juraj Dobrila Monument
Monument of Juraj Dobrila is located in Pula. It is located behind the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Juraj Dobrila was a Poreč-Pula bishop and the Trieste-Koper bishop during the 19th century. His friend was Strossmayer, also a bishop. He was very actively involved in community life and had led Croatian national revival, fought for more rights for Croats, encouraged to read in the Croatian language and advocated for children to go to school. The monument is located in the old town, surrounded by greenery.
