The medieval cylindrical tower with a part of the walls is the oldest part of the castle complex. The interior of the northern, defence part of the tower is made of late Gothic stone doorjambs, window frames, a spiral staircase and stone benches, and some late Gothic details. On the first floor of the tower you can find an embossed coat of arms of the noble family Morović. It is located in the dome vault and encircled by a dragon. On the vault of the second floor there is a stylized image of the sun. In the early 16th century, when the Valpovo estate was in the hands of paltin Emerika Pereny, the fortress was upgraded to match the characteristics of the Renaissance. Besides the Renaissance features, an open porch with columns was added to the fortress. It is located inside of the Prandau castle.
