Molunat
The original meaning of the word molunat comes from the Greek and Illyrian word molos meaning “port”. In the 15th century Molunat was a safe haven from the plague. During archaeological searching, the remains of walls and fortifications were discovered. Molunat is situated in an ecological area rich in various kinds of herbs, beautiful beaches and clear water that is rich in fish. It is a tourist and fishing village situated 40 kilometers away from Dubrovnik. On Molunat you can find private family accommodation and a restaurant, a store with fresh fruits and vegetables, a dock, a fishing cooperative and two coffee shops. Molunat is a place that provides relaxation and enjoyment in the unspoiled nature.
