Located about half a mile from the mainland, Prvić is a small island on the Adriatic. There is a typical Dalmatian fishermen’s village on the island called Prvić Luka. In the 15th century it became a nobility resort, and later the Glagolitic friars and Benedictines, who are credited with building two beautiful churches and monasteries, settled here. Prvić Luka is known for its maritime affairs, fisheries, olive growing and viticulture. Although the village is quite deserted in the winter, it is visited by many tourists in the summer.
