Rastoke is situated on the bank of blue-green river Slunjčica. It was first mentioned in written sources in the 17th century. It is named after the fact that the river Slunjčica dissolves in numerous backwaters, where it leaves behind small waterfalls. In history, people were farmers and merchants, but because of its location at the crossroads of southern and northern Croatia, Rastoke has always been affected by some war events, which is why its development was always starting out from scratch. This watermill village is located near the road. The village has many apartments under which water flows, which is why the visit to Rastoke is an unforgettable experience not to be missed. Due to the combination of intact and beautiful nature with tradition, Rastoke has become one of the favorite tourist destinations which leaves no visitor indifferent.
